What's coming
instnt hub is an integration of its own for Home Assistant. It is optional. With the integration:
- you get lyrics on the music face;
- the queue gets artwork for each song;
- the music face gets speaker settings;
- you set up the companion once in Home Assistant instead of on every iPad: console, game title, artwork, blinds, soundbar and TV;
- you can turn on three automations: blinds move while gaming, the soundbar follows the console, and the TV turns off when the console does. They are off by default.
What you can do now
- Without the integration, the music face, the queue (without artwork), the companion and the cameras work as usual.
- You set up the companion in the app, under Settings › Companion; see PS5 companion.
- You create automations like "blinds closed when the PS5 turns on" yourself in Home Assistant; see Automations.
