The music face shows what's playing on your speakers in Home Assistant: Sonos, HomePod (through Home Assistant's Apple TV integration) and other media players. TVs don't count. Tested with Sonos.
Steps
- Swipe to the music face. If it isn't there, add it through the gallery; see Faces and widgets.
- Start music, for example in the Sonos app. The face shows the artwork, the title and the progress.
- Use the buttons below the artwork to pause, play or skip to the next song. The volume is at the top right.
- Tap the button with the AirPlay waves for your speakers: let them play along and set the volume per speaker.
- Tap the three dots for Sleep Timer, shuffle and Repeat, if your player supports them.
- Tap the button with the list for the queue (Sonos).

Check
- Play something. The face shows the artwork and the title.
- If it says "Nothing playing", nothing is playing on the chosen player.
Not working?
The music face isn't in the row
The music face is only there with Home Assistant.
"Nothing playing" while music is playing
Check Player under OPTIONS. If a fixed player is set, choose Automatic or the player that is playing.
Grouping HomePods doesn't work
Home Assistant can't do that. Group them with AirPlay on your iPhone.
The queue button stays off
Only players that report a queue (Sonos) have one. With a HomePod or Apple TV the button stays off.
No favourites
Favourites come from Sonos. Without Sonos the list stays empty.
